WE’RE REACHING THE HOME STRETCH
Hello fellow Hawleyites!
The purpose of this message is to review the procedures for voting on Tuesday November 3, 2020 in the Presidential Election.
I have been receiving many inquiries regarding when residents can expect to receive their November 3 ballots. I expect ballots to arrive from the State Elections Division on or around October 5th. At that point, I will mail out the Early Voting/Absentee ballots to those who sent in application cards/papers prior to the September Primary and checked off the box to receive the 11/3 ballot by mail and to those who I am presently receiving request cards from.
Once you have completed your Mail in ballot, it can be mailed back postage paid or dropped in Hawley’s new secure Ballots Only Drop Box. You can find the Box (soon to be installed) on the left side of Town Office building near the handicap ramp. Please be assured that this is a secure lock box which I will have sole access to.
If you are unsure whether you requested a ballot for 11/3, or if you do not receive your ballot in a timely manner, do not hesitate to call me at 413-339-5518 (work) or 413-339-4091 (home) or email townclerk@townofhawley.com.
Finally, you can always vote in person on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd from 7 am to 8 pm; or you can also choose to vote early at several Early Voting Sessions: Saturday, 10/17, Sunday 10/18, Wednesday, 10/21, Saturday 10/24, Sunday 10/25, and Wednesday, 10/28 between the hours of 10:00 am and noon. Please remember to socially distance and wear your mask.
Thank you in advance for voting,
and please always know you can call me or email me with any questions at all.
Your Town Clerk,
Pamela Shrimpton
Deadline to register to vote in the 11/3 Election is Saturday, October 24th.
