Directions to the East Hawley Grove
From Rte 2, Charlemont: Take 8a south across the Deerfield River. Cross the tracks and take a left on River Road. Go about 3/8ths of a mile. Take a right on East Hawley Road. Follow it about 5 miles until it intersects with Buckland Road at a “T” intersection. The East Hawley Grove will be on your left.
From Shelburne Falls & Rte. 112, Buckland: Take 112 South to Four Corners (LaBelle’s Sales & Service is on the corner). Turn right onto Clesson Brook Road (which becomes Buckland Road). Bear left and slightly down hill after about three miles where the road splits in a “Y”. (If you find yourself on LaBelle Road you’ve taken the wrong fork.) Continue on Buckland Road until it ends at a “T” at East Hawley Road. The Grove will be on your right.
From Rte. 116, Amherst and Ashfield: Follow Rte. 116 heading North through Ashfield. When you get to the intersection with Rte. 112 (blinking light) go straight across the intrersection. Follow this road (which becomes Ashfield Road) for about 4 miles until you intersect in a “T” with Plainfield/East Hawley Road. Take a right. Proceed about 3/8ths of a mile until you reach the intersection of East Hawley Road and Buckland Road. The Grove will be diagonally across the street on your right.
From the center of Plainfield: Go East on Plainfield Road for about 5 miles until it intersects in a “T” with Buckland Road. The Grove will be diagonally across the street on your right.
Directions to the Hawley Fire House
Follow the directions to the East Hawley Grove. The Fire House is 1/4 mile to the South (left if you’re facing the “T” at East Hawley Road with the Grove building on your right) on the right-hand side of East Hawley (aka “Plainfield”) road, opposite the entrance to Ashfield Road.
Directions to the Hawley Town Garage
From Route 2, Charlemont: Follow Route 8A south (turn right at the “T” beyond the RR tracks once you cross the bridge) for about six miles, until you pass Forge Hill Road.
