SUSTAINABLE ENERGY ADVISORY COMMITTEE FORMED — In the 1990s, Hawley had a committee whose charge was to address sustainable-energyenergy shortages.   Every town had an energy committee.   In time, this committee merged with the Conservation Commission and  eventually, energy slipped off the radar as a major public issue and the committee lost its relevance.
