SUSTAINABLE ENERGY ADVISORY COMMITTEE FORMED — In the 1990s, Hawley had a committee whose charge was to address energy shortages. Every town had an energy committee. In time, this committee merged with the Conservation Commission and eventually, energy slipped off the radar as a major public issue and the committee lost its relevance.
